Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all use of the THE PROF website, bookings, appointments, treatments, and services. By booking an appointment with THE PROF, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About THE PROF
THE PROF provides aesthetic and permanent makeup treatments. All services are offered subject to availability, suitability, and professional assessment.
2. Bookings & Booking Fees
-
All appointments require a non-refundable booking fee (deposit).
-
The booking fee represents 50% of the total treatment price and secures your appointment time.
-
Booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person.
-
The remaining balance is payable on the day of treatment.
-
No refunds are issued for services once a treatment has been carried out.
3. Rescheduling Appointments
-
Appointments may be rescheduled once, using the same booking fee, provided that:
-
At least 48 hours’ notice is given (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays), and
-
The new appointment is booked within 3 months of the original appointment date.
-
-
Any further rescheduling will require a new booking fee.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
-
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of the booking fee.
-
No-shows (failure to attend without prior notice) will result in the loss of the booking fee, which is non-refundable and cannot be transferred or credited toward a future appointment.
-
Booking fees and appointment charges are non-refundable in these cases.
5. Late Arrivals
-
Clients are expected to arrive on time.
-
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to proceed with your appointment.
-
If treatment can still go ahead, the treatment time may be shortened to avoid delaying other clients.
-
In all cases, the full treatment fee remains payable.
6. Changing Your Treatment
-
Requests to change the type of treatment must be made at least 48 hours before the appointment and are subject to practitioner suitability and availability.
-
Any price difference must be paid on the day of treatment.
-
The original booking fee remains subject to these Terms & Conditions.
-
Special packages, promotional offers, or prepaid memberships may have separate terms and conditions, which will apply in addition to these Terms.
7. Consultation, Consent & Results
-
All clients must complete a consultation and consent form before treatment.
-
By signing the consent form, the client confirms their detailed agreement with the expected outcome, including colour, shape, and style.
-
THE PROF accepts no liability if the client changes their mind regarding the colour, shape, or style after the treatment, provided that the consent form has been completed.
8. Corrections & Dissatisfaction
-
We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction.
-
If an issue is raised during the appointment or within 7 days after treatment, and the issue is due to an error on our part, we may offer a complimentary correction, where appropriate.
-
Corrections are offered at the discretion of THE PROF and do not constitute an admission of fault.
9. Illness & Emergencies
-
We may, at our sole discretion, consider waiving cancellation fees in cases of serious or contagious illness or medical emergency.
-
Official proof may be required, and approval is not guaranteed.
10. Force Majeure & Clinic Cancellations
In rare circumstances beyond our control (including practitioner illness, equipment failure, pandemics, war, or extreme events):
-
We will offer an alternative appointment date or a credit of the booking fee.
-
Fees remain non-refundable.
-
No additional compensation will be provided.
11. Client Conduct
-
We aim to provide a calm, safe, and professional environment.
-
Abusive, threatening, rude, or violent behaviour (verbal or physical) will not be tolerated.
-
We reserve the right to cancel appointments immediately if these boundaries are breached.
-
No refunds or credits will be issued where appointments are cancelled due to misconduct.
12. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
You may be entitled to remedies if a service is not delivered with reasonable care and skill or is not as described.
